Trick to recall the names of the chords of a jazz standard while listening ...

It is a good practice to guess the chord changes while listening a tune, assuring a solid synchronization of your solo to the accompaniment.

This can be accomplished even if the tone is not known by assigning a degree and chord type to the chord in question. (IIm7b5 etc.)
