Jazz Guitar Licks

Learn from the Masters

Imitating past and present jazz improvisers is a great way to learn jazz guitar. You should try to go "inside" to understand how your favoritegibson jazz players "think" and play. Work on the licks you like then come up with your own original lines.

Here's the master index for all jazz guitar licks on this website.

Enjoy!

Generic Jazz Guitar Licks

Blues licks, long and short II-V lines.

Outlining the Chord Changes : II-V

Some example from the greatest jazz improvisers.

Jazz Guitar Licks : Minor II-V's

Great cliche lines for minor II-V's. Mostly from
great jazz recordings that made history.
