Have a Sound in Mind

Simple tip : have your "ideal sound" in mind at all times.

Do you want to sound like "bebop" guitar?
Are you into "fusion" type of stuff?
Do you want to play fluid chord lines like Ed Bickert (on a telecaster)?

This will help you focus your practice and playing towards the music you really have at heart. Cherish you sound of choice and ... play with it a lot!
