A Rare Jazz Hungarian Guitar Book from 1958

I´m a William Leavitt admirer thanks to three book method,the- across-the-fingerboard approach of Book II, the more positional fingering and the along three note chord approach, hints on scale improvisation, chord studies, etc, make the III book absolutely necessary. Still, Leavitt is devoted to major, harmonic minor and melodic minor material.

Well, I have a wonderful book (I lost the original, this is a copy)from 1958 edition, in 5 section, exclusively in major and harmonic minor all along the neck in most keys, triads of 3 and 4 notes. A section along the fingerboard, a finger by note,Usually 4 finger by string) three 8ve scale starting in E major and minor and going up to Eb at the 11th fret!! The last section is about chords, literally exhaustive, also with a brief mention to quartal chords.

Hungarian guitar players have a remarkable fame by themselves. What I love from the book, its rigor, based on simplicity, wholeness, and the possibility to choose and understand as you are growing as a player.
